Douglas County Libraries are experiencing some network difficulties and are currently unavailable for lending and borrowing materials through Prospector. We don't have an estimated time frame on when these issues will be resolved. In the meantime, Douglas County patrons can contact their local library to request items through traditional interlibrary loan.

Access to Prospector and ALL Alliance services will be unavailable from 8:00pm on Friday December 17, 2021 until 10:00am on
Saturday December 18, 2021.

Our datacenter will be doing maintenance that requires our servers and devices to be shut down during this time.

The Prospector system has expanded its program for lending streaming videos. In the past, patrons could only borrow videos if they were in a physical format (such as DVDs which are still available) but arrangements have been made with various distributors to lend streaming videos through our SILLVR program (Streaming InterLibrary Loan for Video Resources)

The Flatirons Consortium (FLC) is unavailable in Prospector through 2021. Their items have been mapped to a non-requestable status, "local use only". And each library has been removed from the Prospector Request form. The FLC includes--Broomfield, Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, Louisville and Loveland public libraries.

This week five additional libraries joined Prospector through the Marmot Library Network. These include Buena Vista Public Library, Lake County Library, Montrose Regional Library District, Pine River Public Library and Rampart Library District. We are excited to add these five new libraries to the Prospector catalog.

We are pleased to announce that Clearview Library District has joined Prospector. The Clearview Library District located in Windsor, CO serves more than 25,000 residents of West Greeley, Severance and the town of Windsor. The library lends a variety of materials including books, magazines, movies, music and more. They also provide programs and events at the library including STEAM education for grade school kids, an inclusive space for teens and continuing education for adults.

We are pleased to announce that the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) will be joining Prospector early this week. USAFA was originally founded in 1947 after much growth in the nation's military aviation service. In 1955 the first 306 male cadets where signed in at a temporary military base at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado. On June 28, 1976, USAFA welcomed it's first class of 157 female cadets. The original cadet population at the Academy was 2,529. However, in 1964 President Lyndon B.

Prospector-Encore is currently down. We have reported this issue to our vendor, who is looking at the problem now. In the meantime, please use the Classic interface to search and request items through Prospector.

We are pleased to add Red Rocks Community college to Prospector.

We are pleased to announce that Englewood Public Library has joined Prospector through the Marmot Library Network https://www.marmot.org/. Englewood, a part of the Denver Metro area, has a population of about 35,000 people and has the third highest concentration of millennials in the state. It's a full-service community that serves as a transportation hub with two light rail stops on the Denver regional passenger rail system and complete bus service.
